Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with GIS technology, including creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web-based GIS applications.
- 3+ years of experience in AEC, environmental consulting, engineering, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of GIS architecture, including infrastructure, storage, security, networking, web services, and cloud environments.
- Proven experience in technical consulting, enterprise solution design, and communicating complex technical concepts.
- Understanding of sales engineering, business development processes, and customer engagement strategies.
- Experience troubleshooting GIS application deployments and enterprise system architectures.
- Knowledge of geodatabases and database management systems.
- Experience integrating software solutions with enterprise platforms like data warehouses, BI, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically or internationally 25–50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with customers, account teams, and technical decision-makers by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting geospatial software solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert in GIS technology and AEC industry workflows, advising customers on architecture, integrations, and strategic solution design.
- Develop and present innovative GIS strategies that align technology capabilities with customer objectives and operational challenges.
- Lead technical discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and executive presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide configuration guidance, implementation recommendations, and best practices to help customers maximize the value of GIS platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex application deployment, system architecture, and integration challenges.
- Share technical expertise and contribute to improving solution engineering practices.
