Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience as a strong contributor on a real, shipped robotics or hardware product.
- Proven experience taking physical hardware from concept to volume manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to think across mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering domains.
- Depth in at least one or two areas: PCB/electronics design, motor systems, reliability engineering, or structural/materials engineering.
- Strong understanding of tolerance stacks, vendor capability, and assembly sequencing.
- Ability to drive technical direction across engineers and vendors without formal management authority.
- Willingness to travel to Taipei for key on-site project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Define technical vision and system level architecture for new robot platforms.
- Translate kinematic and product requirements into buildable machine specifications.
- Ensure manufacturability from the design phase, managing tolerance and process decisions.
- Guide cross-functional work of mechanical and electrical engineers and vendors.
- Manage DFM, tooling, and production readiness on the manufacturing line in Taipei.
- Collaborate directly with component vendors including sheet metal, CNC, and motors.
