Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience as a Senior or Principal Forensic Consultant, Cybersecurity Consultant, or Incident Responder.
  • Industry certifications or proven expertise in Digital Forensics and Incident Response.
  • Experience leading forensic workstreams and teams of 3-4 people.
  • Advanced proficiency in digital forensic artifacts and tools such as ELK, Axiom, Encase, or FTK.
  • Professional experience with network analysis and intrusion detection tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to mentor and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Availability to provide after-hours on-call or weekend rotational support.

Responsibilities

  • Forensically lead incident response engagements and guide clients through the entire lifecycle from detection to recovery.
  • Conduct advanced forensic analysis to identify the scope and impact of security incidents, including malware analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Independently manage investigations ranging in size and complexity, including Business Email Compromises and Ransomware engagements.
  • Provide career development for a forensic team of 3-4 consultants through one-on-one meetings and training guidance.
  • Identify and explain attack vectors, threat tactics, and attacker techniques to guide mitigation and prevention efforts.
  • Convey complex forensic findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and clients to refine and document incident response processes.
  • Provide after-hours on-call or weekend rotational support to address critical incidents.
