Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
- Strong experience owning systems end-to-end, from development through deployment and operations.
- Deep cloud infrastructure experience, ideally at a staff-level scope.
- Strong proficiency in backend development, particularly with Python and FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies, including TypeScript-based applications.
- Experience working with real-time systems, media processing, voice technologies, or communication platforms is highly valued.
- Practical experience applying AI technologies in engineering workflows, beyond basic prompt usage.
- Ability to work independently, make technical decisions, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical excellence with business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the full software development lifecycle, delivering features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers.
- Design, build, and scale AI-powered platform capabilities, including applications, backend services, and data workflows.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using modern technologies to ensure reliability, scalability, and low-latency performance.
- Manage production systems and improve operational excellence across cloud environments and distributed services.
- Lead the development of real-time voice capabilities, solving complex challenges related to performance, latency, and user experience.
- Make architectural decisions and define technical strategies in collaboration with leadership.
- Improve engineering practices, raise technical standards, and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.
- Mentor and support future team growth through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
