Requirements
- Qualified to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction with significant corporate legal experience.
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team at a well-established or high-growth organization.
- Strong background in corporate transactional work, including M&A, investments, restructurings, and governance matters.
- Experience managing complex legal projects involving multiple jurisdictions and stakeholders.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, contract review, and interpretation skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks and business risk management.
- Ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice while balancing legal requirements and commercial objectives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to address evolving business needs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate legal strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
- Provide proactive, commercially focused legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on complex business matters.
- Lead and support corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and global restructuring initiatives.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret legal agreements and corporate documentation while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive risk assessments and recommend solutions that protect business interests while enabling growth.
- Support corporate governance activities, including board matters, entity management, and internal organizational arrangements.
- Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to resolve legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage external legal communications and negotiations with third parties when required.
- Develop legal guidance, training materials, and awareness programs to help teams better understand legal risks and compliance requirements.
- Monitor legal developments and ensure relevant regulatory changes are incorporated into business practices.
- Independently manage complex legal projects while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
