Requirements

  • Qualified to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction with significant corporate legal experience.
  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team at a well-established or high-growth organization.
  • Strong background in corporate transactional work, including M&A, investments, restructurings, and governance matters.
  • Experience managing complex legal projects involving multiple jurisdictions and stakeholders.
  • Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, contract review, and interpretation skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks and business risk management.
  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice while balancing legal requirements and commercial objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to address evolving business needs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement corporate legal strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
  • Provide proactive, commercially focused legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on complex business matters.
  • Lead and support corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and global restructuring initiatives.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret legal agreements and corporate documentation while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provide comprehensive risk assessments and recommend solutions that protect business interests while enabling growth.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board matters, entity management, and internal organizational arrangements.
  • Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to resolve legal issues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Manage external legal communications and negotiations with third parties when required.
  • Develop legal guidance, training materials, and awareness programs to help teams better understand legal risks and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor legal developments and ensure relevant regulatory changes are incorporated into business practices.
  • Independently manage complex legal projects while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
