Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including data pipelines and ingestion.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and T-SQL, including stored procedures, CTEs, and database-level business logic.
- 2+ years of experience with GCP tooling, specifically BigQuery, Airflow, and Cloud Composer (or equivalent large-scale data pipeline experience).
- 2+ years of experience with Azure, including SQL Azure, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps (or equivalent AWS/GCP experience).
- Ability to work independently through ambiguity within a Kanban team.
- Experience with .NET/C# for application maintenance (nice to have).
- Experience with Delphi within legacy environments (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain data ingestion pipelines pulling data from NHS and practice management systems via APIs and screen-scraping.
- Own and support the BigQuery ingestion layer and downstream SQL Server and SQL Azure processing.
- Investigate and resolve data ingestion issues while enhancing observability and monitoring.
- Manage enterprise customer support requests and tactical platform enhancements.
- Work across distributed, customized, brownfield customer deployments.
- Maintain SQL-driven commands for legacy Delphi connectors and perform light-touch maintenance on .NET web applications.
- Introduce source control via GitHub Enterprise and improve CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
- Trace and resolve issues across stored procedures, CTEs, and SQL Server business logic.
