Requirements
- Senior or Staff-level backend engineering experience with a strong track record of building production systems.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of complex projects, products, or major features from concept through production.
- Experience designing and developing low-latency, highly available distributed backend systems.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in an asynchronous remote setting.
- Ability to independently drive technical initiatives while contributing to broader product and engineering strategy.
- Experience building workflow, automation, or user-configurable systems (preferred).
- Experience designing or maintaining AI/ML pipelines (preferred).
- Experience integrating external data sources such as threat intelligence, social data, or real-time event feeds (preferred).
- Previous experience working in an early-stage startup environment or small engineering team (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own backend platform features from initial concept and architecture through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain low-latency, highly available backend services supporting real-time threat intelligence and critical event management capabilities.
- Build scalable distributed systems capable of processing large volumes of real-time data and external information sources.
- Integrate external data feeds and OSINT-style sources into platform pipelines to enhance intelligence capabilities.
- Contribute to AI pipeline architecture, agentic workflows, and automation systems that improve platform effectiveness.
- Drive 0→1 product development by identifying technical solutions, making architectural decisions, and delivering production-ready features.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates in a fully remote, distributed engineering environment.
- Improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability through strong engineering practices.
