Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 8 years of healthcare or relevant experience (hospital, clinic, medical office, business services, revenue cycle, insurance, IT, or consulting).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, Epic) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Resolve billing edits and exceptions and coordinate the resolution of charge session edits on a timely basis.
- Develop measures to track, trend, and monitor charge sessions.
- Identify, document, and recommend solutions to the root cause of billing errors or issues.
- Train in all revenue integrity software, patient accounting systems, and applicable billing systems.
- Participate in revenue integrity meetings and provide written communication to stakeholders.
- Recommend improvements for revenue processes and efficiency.
- Manage special projects related to edit resolution and revenue cycle enhancement.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulatory agency requirements.
