Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Python with a track record of owning features end-to-end in production.
- Strong full-stack capability, including experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue).
- Solid working knowledge of SQL and data workflow design.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications and ML models in the cloud using containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- AWS expertise strongly preferred; GCP/Azure experience is a plus.
- Excellent grasp of object-oriented and functional design principles.
- Proven experience designing and integrating complex APIs (REST, gRPC).
- Experience setting technical patterns, leading cross-cutting design, and mentoring engineers.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences (PhD scientists to DevOps).
- MSc or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
- Full professional fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and ship features spanning back-end services and front-end interfaces for B2B biology products.
- Take features from idea to production and own them in operation, balancing speed with quality and maintainability.
- Design and maintain robust, scalable services and APIs (REST, gRPC) to expose model capabilities.
- Build data workflows and maintain the core technical stack.
- Set engineering patterns and standards, lead architectural design, and mentor other engineers through code review and pairing.
- Collaborate with Product Engineers and platform/infra engineers to align builds with scientific and customer needs.
