Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software development, web development, computer science, or related field
- 7+ years of professional web programming experience
- 7+ years of experience with version control tools such as Git
- Advanced expertise in PHP/Laravel (Eloquent, service containers, event-driven design, queue orchestration)
- Strong proficiency in WordPress (multisite/headless, REST API, caching)
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (architecture, WebSockets, performance profiling)
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and CSS (SASS/LESS) with React or Vue.js experience
- Experience designing relational database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Redis/MongoDB)
- Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD workflows, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with API design (RESTful/GraphQL) and security best practices (OWASP)
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP/Laravel, WordPress, and NodeJS
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, and QA to define requirements and deliver new features
- Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize code to ensure high performance, stability, and security
- Act as the first point of contact for change requests and enhancements on ciat.edu and web properties
- Create responsive, interactive, and accessible web pages aligning with brand guidelines
- Gather requirements, provide project estimates, and implement design specifications
- Monitor web analytics and security to recommend improvements in functionality and performance
