Requirements

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, with significant US GAAP exposure.
  • Hands-on experience with US GL accounting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Technical accounting knowledge in areas such as leases, debt, stock-based compensation, and derivatives.
  • Hands-on SOX compliance experience including operating and documenting internal controls.
  • Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules.
  • Strong working knowledge of US payroll accounting and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite/Oracle) and reconciliation tools like FloQast.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours during close and audit periods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage US GAAP technical accounting including lease accounting, intangible assets, stock-based compensation, and debt.
  • Prepare and support US GAAP financial statements, including drafts and supporting schedules.
  • Perform US GL accounting activities such as journal entries, accruals, and monthly cash-flow statements.
  • Execute and document SOX controls, supporting walkthroughs and remediation of control gaps.
  • Lead US audit support, including PBC schedule preparation and auditor communication.
  • Own US payroll accounting and reconciliations, ensuring segregation of duties.
  • Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations within close deadlines.
