Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum of 10 years of current database administration experience in Oracle, Mongo, MSSQL, Maria, and Postgres.
- Proficiency in UNIX, LINUX, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with scripting using command, batch, or similar processes.
- Experience working with large volume databases.
- Understanding of data models, data visualization, and data migration.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Ensure database security, authentication, and implement least privilege and encryption.
- Manage database replication, high availability, and maintain backup and data recovery environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in regular testing.
- Install, upgrade, and manage database migrations between systems, versions, or platforms.
- Perform query tuning, resource management, and monitor database performance metrics.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis on database incidents and provide preventative solutions.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate routine maintenance tasks.
- Provide status reports to management and offer training and mentorship to others.
