Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering roles.
- 7+ years managing engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and large-scale data systems.
- Proven experience building or managing cloud-native platforms using technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics ecosystems.
- Hands-on programming experience with modern development environments and object-oriented or functional programming languages.
- Experience with distributed version control systems and collaborative software development practices.
- Knowledge of business intelligence architectures and data visualization solutions.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or similar analytics technologies.
- Experience delivering scalable SaaS products with demanding performance and reliability requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to lead remote teams across different time zones.
- Pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a distributed team of engineers across multiple regions.
- Define technical direction and guide the architecture of scalable data systems, including pipelines, storage solutions, and analytics platforms.
- Partner with product leadership to align engineering execution with business goals and evolving priorities.
- Drive delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation, release coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage external vendor relationships related to technology tools, consulting services, and development support.
- Establish and execute a forward-looking data platform strategy.
- Contribute to technical discussions through architecture reviews, code reviews, and complex problem-solving.
- Ensure strong standards for security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Define and monitor engineering metrics related to quality, delivery velocity, and system reliability.
