Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating and automating large-scale OpenStack cloud environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code with Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of OpenStack components: Neutron, Octavia, Manila, Cinder, Nova, Ironic, and Glance.
- Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) systems engineering background.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Fluency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
- Deep understanding of L2/L3 networking, SDN overlays, and storage protocols like iSCSI, NFS, and CEPH.
- Proven experience building or maintaining multi-region or high-availability OpenStack clusters.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
- Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration like Kubernetes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-tenant OpenStack infrastructure aligned with open community standards.
- Automate provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of OpenStack services using Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Extend and maintain core OpenStack integrations including Neutron, Octavia, Manila, Cinder, Nova, Ironic, and Glance.
- Contribute to upstream OpenStack projects including bug fixes and driver enhancements.
- Implement continuous delivery pipelines for OpenStack updates and patch management.
- Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and healing mechanisms using GitOps principles and observability stacks like Prometheus.
- Harden services for high availability, disaster recovery, and scale-out operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, and root cause analysis.
