Principal: 5+ years (Bachelors), 3+ years (Masters), or 1+ year (PhD). Sr. Principal: 8+ years (Bachelors), 6+ years (Masters), or 4+ years (PhD).

Requirements

  • Principal: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience; Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
  • Sr. Principal: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience; Master’s with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
  • Active, current Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access clearance.
  • Experience planning, executing, and presenting complex engineering trade studies.
  • Full lifecycle systems engineering experience including requirements definition, design, integration, and verification.
  • Experience with Military Satellite Communications (SATCOM), particularly AEHF systems (highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of capabilities trade analysis, mission analysis, information assurance, and systems integration.
  • Experience supporting satellite communication system testing and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with NSA certification processes, MIL-STD-810, and/or DO-160 standards (preferred).
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
  • Ability to work onsite and support occasional travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct systems engineering analyses to support requirements trades, design decisions, and system performance evaluations.
  • Develop, decompose, review, and manage system requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead architecture assessments, capability evaluations, and complex trade studies.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate system risks, uncertainties, and mitigation strategies.
  • Translate technical analysis into actionable recommendations for government stakeholders and program leadership.
  • Manage requirements, interfaces, and architecture change processes.
  • Lead multidisciplinary working groups and coordinate collaboration across engineering teams.
  • Contribute to integration, verification, and validation strategies for advanced communication systems.
