Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll tax law, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with timesheet systems, labor cost segmentation, and payroll journal entries.
  • Advanced Excel skills including reconciliation, data validation, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform.
  • Strong understanding of multi-currency payroll and foreign exchange considerations.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with UK and/or India payroll regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite and GDPR or data privacy regulations is preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management (GPM) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end semi-monthly and monthly payroll processing for employees and contractors across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Oversee payroll operations in India, partnering with regional teams to ensure compliance and cross-border alignment.
  • Reconcile payroll liabilities and journal entries in collaboration with HR and Finance.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to post labor costs and segment payroll across cost centers and projects.
  • Drive payroll system automation, improvements, and migration projects.
  • Lead payroll components of internal and external audits and ensure timely tax filings.
