Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing Epic Reporting Workbench reports and Radar dashboards.
- Required Epic certifications including Epic Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Administration, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model, and an additional clinical or access data model certification/accreditation.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries against large datasets.
- Experience with data warehouse concepts, enterprise data management practices, and analytics strategy.
- Knowledge of Epic Cogito reporting tools, Qlik Sense, Slicer Dicer, Universes, and Cubes.
- Experience gathering requirements, defining data specifications, designing solutions, and validating reporting outputs.
- Strong understanding of healthcare, hospital, and ambulatory workflows, terminology, and industry requirements.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements such as HIPAA, DNV, and MIPS.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and operational needs to determine the most appropriate reporting and analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Epic Cogito tools, Reporting Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer, Qlik Sense, and related technologies.
- Partner with healthcare stakeholders, leadership, physicians, and end users to gather requirements, define specifications, validate outputs, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Provide production-level support, troubleshoot reporting issues, monitor requests, and ensure timely resolution according to service expectations.
- Establish reporting standards, best practices, documentation, and quality controls while reviewing solutions for consistency and accuracy.
- Mentor junior analysts by providing technical guidance, coaching, and support in functional and reporting-related areas.
