Requirements
- Proven experience managing and mentoring multiple high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong architectural background with experience designing and scaling complex distributed systems and modern web applications.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and cloud-native architecture patterns.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and collaborating across frontend and backend engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
- Ability to define technical vision, communicate strategy clearly, and align engineering decisions with business goals.
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, or C++ (experience with Golang is a plus).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence teams across different functions and geographies.
- Professional fluency in English and experience working with globally distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of critical and technically complex services, focusing on scalable, sustainable, and long-term solutions.
- Define and evolve technical strategies and architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, and other stakeholders to prioritize initiatives aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Mentor and empower engineering managers, technical leaders, and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Guide modernization initiatives for existing systems, improving scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Oversee integrations with external APIs and platforms, ensuring secure and efficient system connectivity.
- Promote operational excellence through best practices in monitoring, incident management, reliability, and system performance.
- Establish a collaborative engineering environment where teams are motivated, productive, and continuously growing.
- Stay close to emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation across the engineering organization.
