Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant tax experience required; 2 or more years preferred.
  • Experience preparing U.S. corporate income tax workpapers and tax returns.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and reconcile financial information.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance processes and ability to interpret tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn new systems, tools, and processes.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate income tax workpapers, extension calculations, and quarterly tax estimate documentation.
  • Support year-end tax compliance activities and assist with federal, state, and local tax filings.
  • Prepare and submit sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, net profit tax returns, and other required tax documents.
  • Research federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to support compliance activities.
  • Assist with tax audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests from governmental agencies.
  • Reconcile tax-related accruals and balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities related to tax credits, exemptions, and process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding tax matters.
  • Utilize financial and reporting tools, including Microsoft Excel and tax-related systems, to support data gathering, analysis, and filing preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records while managing multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
