Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Operations.
- Experience working in a Series B-D stage startup.
- Solid grasp of multi-state employment compliance.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and PEOs (migration experience preferred).
- Builder's mindset with a focus on process improvement.
- Low ego and high ownership, willing to perform tactical work.
- Ability to operate in the gray and apply strong judgment in the absence of rigid policies.
Responsibilities
- Own core people operations areas: onboarding, offboarding, policy / leave administration, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
- Manage benefits end-to-end including employee support, leave management, open enrollment, and vendor relationships.
- Design and execute HRIS operations, managing current systems and leading future migrations.
- Manage the PEO relationship to ensure smooth payroll and compliance across all states.
- Manage people reporting and data, such as headcount and attrition, to support stakeholder decision-making.
- Evolve people policies to ensure they remain current, accessible, and useful.
- Serve as a primary resource for managers regarding benefits, policy, leave, and HR systems.
