Requirements
- Experience building server-side applications.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant programming languages for the stack (Java willingness required).
- Sound knowledge of a backend framework such as Spring or Spring Boot.
- Experience writing microservices that expose and consume RESTful APIs.
- Experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of CI/CD and practical Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated mindset for delivering secure, well-tested, and well-documented software.
- Experience integrating with third-party providers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, run, and scale services within an event-driven microservice architecture.
- Expose and consume RESTful APIs with an emphasis on quality product design.
- Utilize technologies like Java 17, Spring Boot, JOOQ, SNS, SQS, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
- Deploy services to production multiple times per day using CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Monitor services and investigate production issues using DataDog.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business and regulatory requirements into engineered solutions.
