Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Software Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer working with real-time systems.
- Strong programming experience with at least one of the following: .NET (C#), Python, or React.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and database management fundamentals.
- Experience working with message brokers and event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of distributed systems, system architecture, and data pipeline concepts.
- Familiarity with HL7 messaging standards and healthcare-related data structures is a plus.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance real-time event capture and processing platforms.
- Develop backend services and APIs using technologies such as .NET (C#) and/or Python.
- Build interactive dashboards and user interfaces using technologies such as React when required.
- Create robust mechanisms for collecting and processing status events from multiple sources.
- Implement automated notification and alerting systems through channels such as email, PagerDuty, or Slack.
- Develop dashboards that display real-time events, historical trends, and system health metrics.
- Design, optimize, and maintain data storage solutions using PostgreSQL.
- Configure and integrate message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for reliable event streaming.
- Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Apply knowledge of healthcare messaging standards to interpret and integrate relevant event data.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand monitoring needs and integrate solutions into existing infrastructure.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions, technical improvements, and engineering best practices.
