- 5+ years as an engineer in a role that was mostly about writing code
- 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager of productive, motivated teams
- Proven track record leading teams to ship industry-leading UX that elevates customer experiences
- Experience contributing to end-to-end customer support experience software at a marketplace product organization
- Successfully built and led lean teams to deliver impactful results
- Ability to foster safe, collaborative, and inclusive environments
- Comfortable operating without a playbook by defining architecture, ways of working, and roadmap
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of customer support tools and workflows
- Experience with custom tools for support efficiency or AI agent optimization
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Backend, Frontend and applied AI and automation engineers
- Own the technical vision for SeatGeek’s core support tools (both custom + Saas) and integrations
- Rapidly build and iterate tools to boost fan experience and maintain operational excellence
- Perform code and architecture reviews, and provide design feedback
- Provide job performance feedback, conduct one-on-ones, and support career development
- Work with product counterparts to form a compelling team vision and roadmap
- Select and work with technology vendors while making build or buy decisions
- Collaborate with other leaders to communicate decisions and resolve blocking issues
