Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar engineering major.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (Master's degree may substitute for one year).
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Expertise in at least one core stack: Python, PHP (Laravel/Cake), C# (.NET), Angular, React, Flutter, and ML/Data Science packages.
- Proven experience engineering SaaS products/platforms and cloud-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with containers, design patterns, and Linux/MacOS environments.
- Strong architectural habits, particularly Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Active participation in widely-used open source projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for your team in all matters.
- Coordinate the engineering team’s day-to-day activities to ensure delivery on or ahead of schedule.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to ensure client requirements are met.
- Create technical architecture documentation and diagrams.
- Contribute to hands-on implementation efforts for approximately 40% of capacity.
- Review team code, perform code documentation, and dive into technical challenges.
- Mentor engineers, manage team time-off, and hire new talent.
- Act as the scrum master for the engineering team.
