Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4+ years leading engineering teams at a senior manager, director, or equivalent level.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms, managing technical debt, and delivering transformation roadmaps.
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Experience designing and scaling software solutions in healthcare IT, digital health, EHR/EMR, or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant systems, security practices, and privacy-focused technology development.
- Experience delivering applied AI capabilities, including LLM integrations, AI-powered workflows, or intelligent product features.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud environments, DevOps practices, and scalable engineering processes.
- Player-coach leadership style with the ability to balance hands-on development and team leadership.
- Strong business acumen, including experience managing budgets, defining metrics, and communicating technical decisions to executives.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year technology modernization strategy aligned with product, clinical, and business goals.
- Partner with executive leadership and stakeholders to guide architecture decisions, technology investments, and AI adoption strategies.
- Lead the evolution of legacy systems into modern, scalable services using current development practices and cloud technologies.
- Modernize front-end experiences by introducing accessible, user-friendly interfaces and improving overall product usability.
- Oversee the transition toward more scalable architectures, including service decomposition and multi-tenant capabilities.
- Drive security and compliance initiatives, including HIPAA requirements, security best practices, and SOC 2 Type II readiness.
- Build and deliver AI-powered product capabilities by integrating advanced models and vendor solutions into clinical workflows.
- Establish strong engineering standards, processes, and development practices to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Mentor existing engineers, build a high-performing technology team, and define future hiring needs.
- Represent technology strategy with customers, partners, auditors, and executive stakeholders.
