Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, media relations, or PR.
- PR and media agency experience is required.
- Experience with requirements and restrictions of publicly traded companies.
- Established list of technology industry and business media contacts is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated results in securing media coverage and byline placements.
- Proven experience increasing earned media placements in technology offerings.
- Strong editorial and writing skills with experience creating media pitches.
- Ability to translate complex services and insights into clear, compelling stories.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong organizational and project management skills for managing timelines and editorial calendars.
Responsibilities
- Develop target media lists and preferred media outlets relevant to company solutions and services.
- Build and manage distribution lists for company announcements.
- Build relationships with business and industry media to secure earned coverage.
- Develop, distribute, and secure placement for content that supports thought leadership and brand differentiation.
- Create pitches to secure interviews with company executives and media coverage.
- Research editorial calendars and manage pitch schedules.
- Support executive and subject-matter expert visibility through bylines, speaking opportunities, and industry events.
- Measure performance and optimize content and channel effectiveness.
- Translate complex services and data into narratives and pitches for external audiences.
