Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of non-internship professional data science or ML experience in product startups or high-scale enterprises.
- Solid command of A/B test design, power analysis, and quasi-experimental methods like diff-in-diff and synthetic control.
- Strong grounding in forecasting and operations research or reinforcement learning applied to pricing or matching problems.
- Proven ability to build, select, and maintain features from large, messy, real-world data.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML pipelines in production environments.
- Fluent in Python and SQL with the ability to work efficiently against large-scale data.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative field.
- Ability to balance trade-offs such as reliability, latency, and interpretability in modeling.
- Bias towards shipping early and iterating with small, incremental changes.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ML and optimisation models across the quick-commerce stack, including supply-demand matching, dynamic pricing, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the AI behind Butler, modeling customer intent from unstructured text, voice, and image data.
- Design and execute A/B and quasi-experimental tests to drive marketplace decisions.
- Engineer high-signal features from complex, real-world data sources.
- Manage the end-to-end model lifecycle, including data pipelines, training, deployment, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver data-driven solutions and diagnose production issues.
