Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the bar of at least one US state or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum 5-10 years of applicable professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Advanced abilities for contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud technology, digital platforms, and SaaS transactions.
- Experience translating technical concepts into practical legal guidance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience managing multiple matters simultaneously under quick turnaround deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding legal risks.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise routine sales agreements and non-standard customer, supplier, distributor, and consulting agreements.
- Advise Sourcing, Sales, and IT teams on complex IT vendor agreements and digital product contracting.
- Develop and support the creation of playbooks and templates for consistent legal review.
- Assist with the review of data processing agreements and ensure alignment with IT and business strategies.
- Identify when complex legal issues require escalation to senior attorneys.
- Implement systems for the efficient creation, negotiation, and oversight of corporate agreements.
- Provide assistance and guidance to department Contracts Specialists.
