Requirements
- BA/BS degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
- Four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience with construction and/or quality management.
- Knowledge of building systems including mechanical and electrical.
- Ability to review contractor shop drawings and project specifications.
- Familiarity with commissioning, testing, and inspection processes.
- Ability to travel up to 90% across the US.
- Willingness to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
- CQM or other professional certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect building systems, including mechanical and electrical, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
- Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.
- Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking.
- Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.
- Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups.
- Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations.
- Coordinate client Outage / Shutdown Procedure and GC Workplans.
