Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience in data center, telecommunications, or low-voltage infrastructure.
  • 7+ years of experience specifically managing Inside Plant (ISP) deployments within active data centers.
  • Proven experience delivering projects exceeding $1M in value.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, fiber optic infrastructure, and network architecture.
  • Expertise in data center construction methodologies and mission-critical operating environments.
  • Proficiency in project planning, resource management, financial budgeting, and contract management.
  • Executive-level verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% for site visits and project management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and off-shift as needed.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, RCDD, DCDC, or OSHA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent data center ISP projects ranging from single-site deployments to large-scale hyperscale campus programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings, progress reviews, and executive-level status updates.
  • Direct the installation of structured cabling, fiber optic backbone, cable trays, and network/telecom equipment.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and review subcontractor invoices.
  • Lead and mentor project coordinators and field teams, driving accountability for performance, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control processes, documentation, and support project closeout activities.
