Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current enrollment in a college or university degree program (recent grads may be considered).
  • Major in Communications, Political Science, Government, or Policy preferred.
  • Access to reliable internet.
  • Working laptop or desktop computer.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Meet).
  • Ability to manage time effectively without procrastination.
  • Availability to work around 20 hours per week during 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Eastern time.
  • Teachable and can-do attitude.
  • Passion for Independent Women's mission and policy stances.
  • Local to Washington, DC (required only for External Relations department).

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical support to assigned departments.
  • Oversee regular departmental tasks.
  • Start drafts of needed outputs for team projects.
  • Engage heavily with departmental initiatives.
  • Participate in training and professional development.
