Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in a SaaS and Data Industry Sales Engineering role.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Hadoop components such as HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive, HBase, Ranger, Kerberos, Kafka, and Zookeeper.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Trino, Jupyter, or Airflow.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience with data observability, monitoring, integration, or quality products.
- Strong understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data architectures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze customer data scenarios and recommend observability strategies.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer and prospect meetings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account, Product, and Customer Support teams to identify customer needs.
- Develop and conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Partner with Enterprise and Strategic Account teams to define technical requirements and sales strategies.
- Design and develop data solutions tailored to customer environments.
- Develop technical proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
- Lead the implementation of proofs-of-concept (POCs) and present findings to stakeholders.
- Provide internal support for sales, marketing, and product teams through training and demo asset creation.
- Assist in maintaining technical documentation including product guides and specifications.
