Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in a SaaS and Data Industry Sales Engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Hadoop components such as HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive, HBase, Ranger, Kerberos, Kafka, and Zookeeper.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Trino, Jupyter, or Airflow.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with data observability, monitoring, integration, or quality products.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data architectures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze customer data scenarios and recommend observability strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer and prospect meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account, Product, and Customer Support teams to identify customer needs.
  • Develop and conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Partner with Enterprise and Strategic Account teams to define technical requirements and sales strategies.
  • Design and develop data solutions tailored to customer environments.
  • Develop technical proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Lead the implementation of proofs-of-concept (POCs) and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide internal support for sales, marketing, and product teams through training and demo asset creation.
  • Assist in maintaining technical documentation including product guides and specifications.
