Requirements
- At least three years of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent.
- Preferably at least four years of software industry experience.
- Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering.
- Expertise in building and deploying production-level batch data processing systems.
- Experience with modern development tooling including Git, Gradle, and Nexus.
- Experience with automation and DevOps technologies like Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
- Knowledge of testing libraries such as ScalaTest and ability to distinguish between unit and integration tests.
- Strong technical communication skills with experience in rapidly changing client environments.
- Ability to obtain Secret II clearance.
Responsibilities
- Implement Quantexa’s technology across banking, insurance, government, and healthcare domains.
- Build end-to-end data pipelines and configure decision-making platforms to detect key insights.
- Write defensive, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production data processing systems.
- Configure and deploy software using Spark, Hadoop, Scala, and Elasticsearch in cloud environments.
- Articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences to support client decision-making.
- Collaborate with solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and best practices for big data challenges.
