Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting federal financial reporting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, workpapers, and audit documentation.
  • 1+ year of experience applying OMB Circular A-136, FASAB standards, GTAS, Statement of Budgetary Resources (SBR), SF-133, and other federal financial reporting requirements.
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing financial documentation and variance explanations.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reporting schedules, supporting workpapers, and footnote documentation for annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile Financial Statement Data Warehouse (FSDW) outputs to CCC CORE, FMMI, trial balances, and manual financial statements.
  • Perform trial balance integrity checks and research discrepancies to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for the Balance Sheet, Statement of Net Cost (SNC), Statement of Changes in Net Position (SCNP), Statement of Budgetary Resources (SBR), Budgetary Activity Report (BAR), and financial statement footnotes.
  • Support GTAS and SF-133 reconciliations and validate financial reporting submissions.
  • Draft variance analyses and respond to Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) requests for financial data and reporting support.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial reports, management narratives, and required disclosures.
  • Prepare financial statement binder documentation, cross references, and audit support packages.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge transfer documentation.
