Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience with accounting in a bank environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Prior experience with Oracle ERP and Fusion GL preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure daily accounting activities and financial statements comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and supervise staff, providing guidance and escalation support.
- Review and approve accounting entries for accuracy.
- Implement and maintain accounting software for GL, reconciliation, and accounts payable.
- Analyze revenue, expense, and budget variances to identify discrepancies.
- Prepare or oversee regulatory reports such as Call Report, FR Y-9, FR2900, and Reg W.
- Prepare or oversee state and local tax filings and income tax provisions.
- Develop and document efficient accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
