Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 5–8+ years of experience in commissioning, startup, testing, or operations support in nuclear or highly regulated energy environments.
- Strong understanding of nuclear plant systems and how mechanical, electrical, and control systems are commissioned and validated.
- Proven experience developing test plans, procedures, and commissioning documentation for complex systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and coordinate cross-functional engineering activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including procedural and technical documentation development.
- Familiarity with project management tools, scheduling practices, and document control systems (e.g., MS Project, P6).
- Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in high-stakes environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive preoperational and startup testing roadmaps, including phases, milestones, success criteria, and resource planning.
- Write detailed test specifications and procedures covering mechanical, electrical, control, instrumentation, and safety systems.
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams in the planning and execution of testing activities aligned with project schedules and priorities.
- Coordinate task assignments, provide technical guidance, and support mentoring and development of junior engineers.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with nuclear industry codes, standards, safety requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor testing progress, identify risks, and provide structured reporting on status, resource needs, and schedule impacts.
- Participate in client interactions and site visits to support coordination and technical alignment.
