Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or related technical disciplines.
- 2+ years of people management experience leading engineering or security teams.
- Strong experience securing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud security domains including IAM, vulnerability management, container/Kubernetes security, IaC security, and incident response.
- Experience operating in large-scale SaaS, enterprise, or high-compliance environments.
- Familiarity with application security practices such as SAST, DAST, SCA, threat modeling, and security design reviews.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive security engineering outcomes in complex environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Experience balancing tactical incident response with long-term security strategy.
- Strong leadership mindset aligned with coaching, clarity, and execution excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a distributed cloud security engineering team, defining priorities, ownership, and execution frameworks that drive measurable security outcomes.
- Develop and execute a technical roadmap that reduces cloud security risk across multi-cloud production environments.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, product, compliance, and security leadership to align on security strategy and priorities.
- Drive initiatives across cloud security domains including identity and access management, vulnerability management, infrastructure security, and exposure reduction.
- Design and improve scalable, automated, and observable security systems integrated into engineering workflows.
- Establish strong operating mechanisms for prioritization, stakeholder communication, dependency management, and incident readiness.
- Coach, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with incident response and governance teams to ensure security posture improvements and audit readiness.
- Balance proactive security engineering initiatives with effective response to urgent security incidents.
