Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of construction management experience with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years of direct experience managing data center or mission-critical facility construction projects.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing Project Managers or overseeing construction programs.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optic systems, and mission-critical environments.
- Experience using construction and program management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, PE, LEED, or RCDD are considered an advantage.
- Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center programs, commissioning activities, integrated systems testing, or Tier III/IV facilities is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering data center construction and telecommunications projects.
- Establish and maintain program-wide standards for project execution, governance, reporting, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality control.
- Oversee a portfolio of concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with delivery milestones, financial objectives, and organizational priorities.
- Review project performance, forecasts, change management activities, and resource allocation while proactively addressing risks and dependencies.
- Provide technical oversight for structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, low-voltage systems, pathways, grounding, testing, documentation, and telecommunications best practices.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues involving scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder management.
- Partner with clients, contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal leadership to support successful project delivery and executive reporting.
- Promote continuous improvement by strengthening project management practices, supporting hiring and onboarding efforts, and fostering ongoing professional development across the team.
