Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience developing applications in search, personalized ranking, or recommender systems.
- Experience deploying ML models that scale to high-traffic, latency-sensitive services (100s of millions of requests per day).
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Familiarity with ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Catboost, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
- Expertise with distributed data processing systems such as Hive, Spark, Airflow, or Databricks.
- Proven ability to own the full lifecycle of models from prototyping to performance monitoring.
- Master's degree + 2 years or BS with 4+ years of experience preferred.
- Interest or prior experience with generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production machine learning models for the Zillow app, website, and notifications.
- Re-architect core home ranking and recommendation systems to support advanced neural networks.
- Manage the full lifecycle of models, including offline experimentation, deployment, A/B testing, and monitoring.
- Apply deep learning and large language models (LLMs) to enhance the home shopping experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, product managers, and designers.
- Improve machine learning infrastructure, development standards, and shared tooling.
