Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in conducting on-site surveys of commercial HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and fire suppression systems for Property Condition Assessments.
  • PE License (strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to train junior technical staff.
  • Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Passport (when necessary).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • LEED AP, CMEPM, CEM (preferred).
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (recommended).

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough property walk-through surveys and assessments of commercial MEP building systems nationwide.
  • Review mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and vertical transportation systems.
  • Lead single-assessor or team PCA scopes per ASTM Standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings for Property Condition Assessments.
  • Develop proactive solutions and estimate costs to remedy physical deficiencies.
  • Communicate technical knowledge clearly and provide mentorship to junior professionals.
  • Collaborate with the broader Equity PCA team to ensure integrated assessment delivery.
