Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in conducting on-site surveys of commercial HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and fire suppression systems for Property Condition Assessments.
- PE License (strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to train junior technical staff.
- Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Passport (when necessary).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- LEED AP, CMEPM, CEM (preferred).
- OSHA 30-hour certification (recommended).
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough property walk-through surveys and assessments of commercial MEP building systems nationwide.
- Review mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and vertical transportation systems.
- Lead single-assessor or team PCA scopes per ASTM Standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings for Property Condition Assessments.
- Develop proactive solutions and estimate costs to remedy physical deficiencies.
- Communicate technical knowledge clearly and provide mentorship to junior professionals.
- Collaborate with the broader Equity PCA team to ensure integrated assessment delivery.
