Requirements
- 10+ years' experience as a consulting engineer providing permitting, design and construction of water and wastewater system projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering.
- Professional registration (P.E.).
- Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.
- Proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets.
- Ability to develop creative engineering solutions to address project constraints.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
Responsibilities
- Plan and administer small decentralized public water systems and waste water systems.
- Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects.
- Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports and take corrective action, as necessary.
- Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and ensure that client objectives are met.
- Mentor young design professionals and train scientific staff.
- Participate in business development opportunities and develop $300K in new project work annually.
- Write and review technical reports and proposals.
- Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
- Hire and manage subcontractors.
- Manage cumulative project total $400K annually and achieve profitability goals.
