Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Strong understanding of warehouse material handling systems and construction processes.
- Demonstrated conveyor and automation experience, specifically in installation design and project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage multimillion-dollar project budgets and control costs.
- Experience in vendor bidding, selection, and contract administration.
- Ability to travel 75% of the time.
- Physical ability to perform field work including lifting 30 lbs, climbing ladders, and navigating construction sites.
- Capacity to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as project owner for capital material handling and warehouse projects exceeding $100 million.
- Manage all aspects of project lifecycle including cost control, engineering deliverables, construction scheduling, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and site managers to ensure project timelines and smooth operational turnover.
- Provide clear direction and issue resolution for contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Conduct field visits to monitor progress, assess work quality, and resolve on-site construction issues.
- Develop detailed project schedules, identifying dependencies and critical path tasks.
- Review blueprints and construction documents to evaluate project status and identify potential issues.
