Requirements

  • 3+ years of mortgage origination experience with emphasis on purchase transactions.
  • Active NMLS Loan Originator status with state licenses or federal bank license.
  • Completion of 20-hour CORE Pre-Licensing Education.
  • Successful passage of the SAFE Mortgage Loan Originator Test – National Component with Uniform State Content.
  • Physically located in and working remotely from Ohio.
  • Proven success in high-volume, phone-based sales or agent-centric referral models.
  • Strong client service orientation and understanding of the mortgage process.
  • Proficiency with CRM, loan origination systems, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to build trust quickly.
  • Ability to work in a structured, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Originate and manage purchase mortgage loans from application through closing while ensuring compliance.
  • Convert company-provided purchase opportunities into funded loans through proactive follow-up and borrower consultation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and Zillow Preferred Agents.
  • Manage an active pipeline to meet service levels, productivity metrics, and funding expectations.
  • Utilize CRM and loan origination systems to manage pipeline health and customer engagement.
  • Partner with centralized processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure efficient loan movement.
  • Deliver high-quality customer experience via phone, email, and text communication.
