Requirements
- Significant experience as an SRE, production/platform engineer, or software engineer with a deep reliability focus.
- Multi-cloud fluency across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform as an infrastructure-as-code layer.
- Experience supporting and contributing to TypeScript and Ruby on Rails services.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience writing production-quality code.
- Proven track record of technical leadership and influencing teams across organizational boundaries.
- Ability to drive ambiguous, high-scope problems to completion with minimal oversight.
- Experience building measurement frameworks and identifying patterns in operational data.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation (currently one week per month).
Responsibilities
- Partner with development teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design and architecture reviews through launch readiness.
- Establish and evolve design reviews, launch checklists, and operational acceptance criteria.
- Define meaningful SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Create frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure 'golden paths' across AWS, GCP, and Azure using Terraform.
- Partner across engineering, product, and design to align reliability work with business objectives and mentor engineers.
- Lead incident management and blameless postmortems to turn operational signals into systematic improvements.
- Build relationships with cloud provider teams and represent the company in customer trust conversations.
