Job Details

Experience: 2-4 years

Requirements

2-4 years of claims experience with a strong background in Workers' Compensation coverage.
High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
Active state-specific Workers' Compensation License or ability to acquire within three months of hire.
Willingness to obtain additional state-specific licenses during employment as needed.
Proficiency in claims principles, practices, and insurance coverage interpretation.
Ability to work remotely within MN, SD, WI, PA, or IA.
Technical designations such as AIC and CPCU are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Receive, gather, and transmit workers' compensation information accurately from insured parties, claimants, and internal staff.
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers' compensation claims.
Mediate between the insured and the insurance company, including researching coverage issues.
Maintain accurate claim information and final settlement details in the computer system.
Generate checks for indemnity and medical payments on a daily basis.
Monitor consistency in procedural matters for claims handling.
Compile and interpret workers' compensation reports for designated accounts.
Adjudicate lost time claims and participate in claim reviews or Risk Control Workshops.
