Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a developer advocacy or similar role.
- Focus on open-source technologies.
- Strong technical background in software development.
- Experience with languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Experience with containerization such as Docker.
- Experience with orchestration such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability tools such as Opentelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong understanding of the open-source ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently as part of a remote team.
- Willingness to travel to industry events and conferences (approximately 20% of the time).
Responsibilities
- Foster a strong sense of community among OpenObserve users, contributors, and partners.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the community, including meetups, webinars, and online forums.
- Collaborate with the community to gather feedback, prioritize features, and drive the project roadmap.
- Develop high-quality technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation.
- Represent OpenObserve at industry conferences, meetups, and hackathons.
- Provide technical support and guidance to developers through GitHub, Slack, and forums.
- Drive technical solutions discussions with customers to solve complex business problems.
- Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers.
