Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in manual QA/testing roles, with strong focus on backend, API, and web application testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for automated test creation and maintenance.
- Strong proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
- Solid SQL knowledge for backend data validation and relational database testing.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to identify edge cases in complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to ensure full backend coverage.
- Perform end-to-end testing of transactional workflows, validating processes from initiation through authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman to verify request/response integrity and system behavior across services.
- Validate data accuracy and consistency using SQL queries across relational databases to ensure backend correctness.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright to support regression and continuous testing efforts.
- Log, track, and manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, logs, and evidence to support rapid resolution.
- Run regression and exploratory testing after deployments, proactively identifying edge cases, risks, and performance issues.
