- Strong SQL skills.
- Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language like Java or Scala.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, including Terraform, Kubernetes, or similar IaC and container orchestration tools.
- Experience designing data APIs or services.
- Thoughtful approach to data quality, privacy, and security.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools such as Airflow or dbt.
- Commitment to testing and code reviews.
- Ability to create and maintain architecture and systems documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills and independence in shipping features.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines that power analytics, ML workloads, and product-facing applications.
- Evolve data platform alongside cloud platform engineers using infrastructure-as-code and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Design and implement scalable data infrastructure.
- Develop data services and APIs that bridge analytical and operational systems.
- Own data quality and observability by implementing monitoring, testing, and alerting.
- Partner with AI engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to design data solutions.
- Uphold data privacy, security, and compliance practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, models, and systems.
