Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in setting up and operating Azure data platforms (Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse/Fabric) and managing related projects.
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture, distributed systems, and data modeling.
- Strong proficiency in performance optimization and cost management.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.
- Fluent German and very good English language skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business partners.
- Leadership skills to drive technical strategies and mentor team members.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect lakehouse platforms using Fabric/OneLake, Synapse, and Delta Lake.
- Implement zero-ETL data integration through mirroring and centralized data management via Unity Catalog.
- Build DataOps frameworks including Delta Live Tables, serverless SQL pools, and automated monitoring for cost and performance.
- Develop security and compliance concepts utilizing VNet, Private Link, Key Vault, and AD integration.
- Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and drive architecture decisions.
- Advise stakeholders on data strategy, technology selection, and overall business impact.
