Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field.
  • 5 or more years of direct field work experience in a technical customer support role.
  • Experience working with traditional x-ray rooms, digital x-ray equipment, and computed radiography (CR) systems.
  • Expert knowledge of networking, operating systems (UNIX and Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), remote connectivity, security, and digital medical image processing.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes, and knowledge management systems.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, remote-team environment.
  • Ability to travel overnight both within the US and Canada.
  • MCSE, Network +, and CIIP certifications are a plus.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in an expert or specialist level role with x-ray technology is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all AGFA imaging equipment in assigned territory including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide timely feedback on technology performance, serviceability, and design issues to the US DR product team.
  • Plan, execute, and validate installations in coordination with Project Management and Installation teams.
  • Support sales in identifying DR prospects and provide technical support during pre- and post-sales activities.
  • Provide immediate response and resolution to hardware and software problems to ensure customer uptime.
  • Develop technical solutions by interfacing with hospital IT systems, end users, and third-party vendors.
  • Review operational functions with customers to fulfill training obligations during equipment installations.
